BR

was reading WhoWhatWear and their feature on Banana Republic; the pictures of the BR office just blew my mind. definitely inspiration-worthy and keeping fingers crossed, someday i really really hope ROUSE will have an office to call its own and i could forever do what i truly love.

by the way, also check out ROUSE's inaugural lookbook video here.

have a great weekend, x

King Street Perth

the weather was more than perfect for the photoshoot to go smoothly.. extremely thankful for the absence of flies and occasional winds while conquering one of Perth's city streets. King Street, aptly named as it houses luxury retailers in the likes of LV, Tiffany & Co, Sass & Bide (my absolute favourite).. plus a good mix of indie/cult labels like ZOMP, Cult Status, Periscope and Subway DC (they stock LifeWithBird & amazing House of Harlow & Low Luv x Erin Wasson). the list goes on... i can't wait for the actual photos to be up on ROUSE's facebook page! You just gotta share the love!

Model: Pauline
Photographer: Wilson
Hair & Makeup: Priscilla & Jamie
Stylist/Fashion Director: Jocelyn (that's me!)

Stay tuned for the launch, wherever you are in the world X

SS'11 No. 2

Our upcoming (second) collection will be set in the streets of sunny Perth, against a backdrop of colonial looking buildings in stark contrast with skyscrapers. Am currently in a state of euphoria and bewilderment at the same time thinking how far this photoshoot can go and reap results beyond our imagination.

The Sartorialist has always been such an inspiration.. I am beyond excited to work with my team to emulate some decent street snaps showcasing ROUSE's clothes & accessories this time round. A big shift from our previous shoot - cosy and almost foolproof studio lightings - we are taking it a further and greater step ahead.

Wish us luck, and stay tuned for the launch in the coming week!

Happy weekend xx

Iosselliani

The fact that Iosselliani uses a vibrant mix of pop-colored gemstones layered with different metals creating many amazing ensembles of materials impeccably showcased in its all-in-one necklaces/earrings/bracelets/cuffs/stackable rings... just makes me swoon over them time and time again. not forgetting they are usually the right color for summer. plus their 'tribal' vibes makes them all the more inviting for those who want to steer away from mainstream luxury, just like the yama girls hailing from Japan whom I read about in NYLON yesterday(but check out this photographer's perspective on them).
